python3-versiontools software package provides Smart replacement for plain tuple used in __version__ (Python 3), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python3-versiontools
python3-versiontools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python3-versiontools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python3-versiontools *
You will get with python3-versiontools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
